BBC Primates – Madagascar

18.7669° S, 46.8691° E

Towards the end of 2018 I traveled to a remote corner of Madagascar to film a species of Lemur for the first time ever which was very exciting. These guys inhabit the dry forest typically found in the North of the Island and it was an adventure even getting to the location  to be honest. We spent a month living in a field camp from which we followed and filmed our characters every day, I love shoots like this where your day centres around tracking, finding and filming your subject. There is usually a lot of waiting involved too….one of the perks of the job!

Here is a selection of stills from the trip and be sure to tune into the Primates series on the BBC to see the sequence.
