I have been fortunate enough to travel multiple times to Antarctica and this recent trip, filming for the BBC’s series Frozen Planet II was as awe inspiring as any of the proceeding trips. I spent three months in Antarctica shooting a few different sequences for the series, it was a real adventure that saw me and the team camp in the beautiful Dry Valleys for a month, travel to the South Pole and film there which was a pretty insane experience and finally finish working on the sea ice for the final month of the trip filming Orca and Minke whales.

Here is a little selection of some of my favourite stills I took on this trip, as always my focus on these trips is to capture sequences for the production in question and as a result my stills camera rarely gets taken out. Occasionally I manage to sneak a few shots though, hope you enjoy.
